Daisies: Extra Events
Our first year "Extra Events" included some of the following:
Year 1 Daisies, Schedule
For our first year as Daisies, we came up with a fairly simple schedule. We meet two days a month for 1 hour each meeting. We use one meeting/month to focus on earning a badge, and one meeting/month to focus on something else we want to do.
Typically there is one "extra" event / month. This may be a service unit hosted event (cookie rally, thinking day, camporee) or it may just be something fun the girls want to do (zoo, park, theme park, etc.)
We have two ceremonies/year: investiture and bridging.
A troop meeting goes as follows:

A troop meeting goes as follows:
- Winding down time for first five minutes or so - could be a song, a coloring page, jump rope, whatever.
- Collect dues (dues are not required, but girls pay $2/visit as they can - this was essential as we were a starting troop because we hadn't earned any cookie money yet.)
- Pledge of Allegiance, Girl Scout Promise, Girl Scout Law
- Snack
- Do activities related to badge that is being earned (for our first year we are earning our petals and leaves.)
- Wrap up with any business that needs to be discussed.
- Clean up.
